Morrill 102. Join an interdisciplinary group of faculty in a reading course that focuses on how we bring together evidence from genetics, archeology, and linguistics to understand early human populations and cultural development. We will look at what is known about crop domestication and parallels with cultural and linguistic developments of early peoples of Asia in an effort to understand the inter-relationships between geography, water, rice domestication, language, and identity and group membership.
