This class is designed for PhD students in statistics, applied mathematics, and mathematical biology, and will be adapted to the background of students enrolled. It assumes knowledge of probability and at least the basic ideas behind statistical inference. There is an expectation that students will be able to write and use programs in R or Matlab.
