This lab-based course will be offered the week of the 4th of November; in five 2-3 hrs sessions, one per day. Timing will be discussed at an Organizational meeting.

Organization meeting TBA. Enrollment is limited to 1st year graduate students in the Field of Biochemistry, Molecular, and Cell Biology. This class will be team-taught by multiple field faculty members.

Enrollment limited to: Presidential Life Science Fellows(PLSF). An organizational meeting will be held in late August, location TBA. This course introduces participants to a wide range of Life Sciences related faculty from across the Cornell-Ithaca campus. Students will receive an overview of high-impact research being done at Cornell; such an exposure will also help students identify laboratory rotation mentors.

Enrollment limited to BMCB & GGD students. A practical guide to commonly used bioinformatics tools for sequence alignment, homolog identification, motif discovery, et al. Introduction to public genomic and proteomic databases and their applications. Hands-on exercises will be provided. Meeting time and location TBA.
